FRENCH ONION SOUP STUFFED MEATLOAF

 



Classic meatloaf may have been the top in ideas of comfort food, but our French onion variant takes it to a whole different extreme. This French Onion Meatloaf is packed with caramelized onions and flavorful spices, and it is topped with melted cheese for a final piece that will be welcomed by the whole family. 

This meatloaf is dangerously delicious, and I can't believe I've liked another recipe more. I needed time to believe that the flavor would be any better, and that this meatloaf is the best in the world. Not only was the dinner delicious, but I also kept the leftovers in the fridge and used them for the following day's sandwiches, and they were incredible! This meatloaf is moist and full of strong flavors 

Although meatloaf is and always has been a regular dish in our home, it is also regarded as a luxury and highly respected food. But most of the time, I simply make the famous meatloaf of my mommy!!! This loaf is simple, noise-free, and stripped down, yet it is the greatest I've ever eaten. Asking me to provide a recipe is difficult; the list of ingredients is quite short, and putting it together is very straightforward, but anytime I'm asked to make a recipe, it's necessary to make it plain that there isn't a recipe.

The Meatloaf ingredients:

– Two lbs.Of lean ground beef.

– 2 large beaten eggs.

– ½ Cup.Of rusk. 

– 2 Tbspoons.Of fresh chopped parsley.

– Grated mozzarella cheese, I used an 8-ounces Package.

– 1 small spoon.Of salt.

– 1 small spoon.Of ground pepper.

To make the caramelized onions, you’ll need:

– 3 medium onions, sliced into thin slices.

– 1/4 Cup.Of beef broth.

– 1 small spoon.Of Olive Oil.

– 1 small spoon.Of fresh thyme.

– 1 small spoon.Of salt.

– 1 small spoon.Of pepper.

And for The sauce, I only used these 3 ingredients:

– 2 Cups.Of beef broth.

– 3 Tbspoons.Of cornstarch.

– To season, we only used salt and pepper. 

HOW TO MAKE IT:

– Step 1: Heat your oven to 350 degrees F before you start the preparation. 

– Step 2: Then, In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, pepper, salt, and eggs. 

– Step 3: In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the onions, salt, and pepper. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Sauté the thyme and pork broth for 3 minutes. 

– Step 4: On a piece of plastic wrap, form the meat mixture into a rectangle and sprinkle with half the shredded mozzarella cheese and sautéed onion. 

– Step 5: At this step, you need to roll the dough into a jelly roll and put it on the baking sheet. 

– Step 6: And now, bake it for approximately 45 minutes with the tray in the oven. 

– Step 7: Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cook until the mixture becomes thick. 

– Step 8: Next, spread the sauce evenly over the meatloaf and top with the remaining cheese. 

– Step 9: And return to oven for about another 12 minutes. If preferred, you can garnish with fresh parsley, slice it, and TADAAAA, IT’S READY TO serve!
