Crock pot Chicken



* Ingredients :

°2 yellow onions, coarsely chopped
°1/4 C (60 ml) un-bleached flour
°30 ml (2 tablespoons) curry powder
°15 ml (1 tablespoon) ground turmeric
°15 ml (1 tablespoon) garlic minced in jar (or 3 to 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped)
°15 ml (1 tablespoon) jar grated ginger (or 2 cm (3/4 inch) piece of fresh ginger, finely chopped)
°black pepper and salt
°3 pounds (1.5 kg) chicken breasts, cut into large cubes (or about 6 breasts)
°1 can (14 oz) coconut-milk
°1 can (156 ml (5 1/2 oz) tomato paste
°1/2 cup (125 ml) light curry or tikka paste (patak type)
°finely chopped coriander (optional)

* Preparation :

Main steps
In the slow cooker, combine onion, flour, curry powder, turmeric, garlic and ginger.
Pepper generously and add a pinch of salt.
Add chicken, coconut milk, tomato paste and curry paste. My heart to coat the chicken well.
Cover the slow cooker and cook for 6 hours on the highest level.
Served with naan bread or basmati rice and mint raita. Garnish with cilantro, if desired.
