Sausage sauce recipe



°1 pound breakfast sausage
°1/3 c all-purpose flour
°3 to 4 c whole milk, to taste
°1/2 t seasoned salt
°2 tsp ground black pepper
°12 baked cookies, warm to serve

*How to make :

Use your finger, tear off pieces of sausage and adding them in a single layer to a large, heavy-bottomed skillet. Brown sausage over medium-high heat to no longer pink. Reduce heat to medium-low. Sprinkling with half of the flour and stir until sausage absorbs everything, then add little by little. Stirring and cooking for another minute or so, then pour in milk, stir constantly.

Cooking sauce, stirring frequently, until it thick (this may take 10-12 minutes). Sprinkling with seasoned salt also pepper and continue to cook to thick and succulent. If it gets too thick too soon, add 1/2 c milk or more if need. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Pour sausage sauce over the warm biscuits and serving immediately. 

This recipe can easily be doubled to serving 24 people.
