How to Remove that Horrible Urine Smell from the Bathroom

+ How to get rid of toilet odor forever

If you have kids, you might just be like me and have a lurking scent in the bathroom. And what can be frustrating is that no matter how much you exfoliate, that unpleasant odor may disappear for a few hours, and then return at the end of the day.

What I found was something that leaves the bathroom spotless and smelling clean! If you have foul-smelling urine in your bathroom, you'll want to start this day!

What I love most about this is that it only requires a few basic (and natural) ingredients and it fits in your budget! very easy!

* Here's what you'll need :

° Baking soda

° Lemon juice

° White vinegar

° Toothbrush

° a towel

° Measuring cup

+ Make and use a deodorizing paste

Use fresh lemon and squeeze juice in a bowl

Add baking soda to lemon juice to make a paste. The paste should not be liquid, but like a thick cake batter.

For this next step, if you're feeling a little anxious about it, use some rubber gloves!

Rub the paste along all areas of noticeable spray or buildup including the seat, along  bottom of toilet where it meet floor, along back of the toilet & tank, & under the edge of stool area. Leave it on for 15 minutes.

+ Clean the toilet tank

Remove the lid of the toilet tank and add 1 1/22 cups vinegar to the water. Let that to sit for 16 min as well. The funky scent in your bathroom can sit and permeate the toilet tank, so don't skip this step.

+ Clean in and around the toilet

While the baking soda and lemon paste are holding, clean all the areas around the toilet: walls, cupboards, sink, and bathtub. You can use a spoonful of lemon paste to clean with a cloth.

If your toilet is near a bathtub with a shower curtain, toss the shower curtain into the washing machine and add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the final rinse cycle to replenish that as well. After peeling everything thoroughly, you should actually notice a difference in the scent. It's amazing to me how far and where it looks like to have urine in the bathroom ... Never leave any wall without scrubbing or unwashed tiles. 🙂

Wash it two or three times, then add another half cup of vinegar and leave it until you finish the cleaning process. If there are visible accumulations along the walls of the tank, you will need to scrub the tank ...

Next, grab a toothbrush, pour vinegar on it, and scrub the areas where the baking soda and lemon paste has been around the toilet. Rub all areas well with a toothbrush, then pour small amounts of vinegar over the paste and wipe with a cloth. If you see residue building up along the water line in the toilet bowl, a pumice stone is a great way to scrub it. I am using this one and feel it is very effective.

Flush the toilet two or three more times to get the vinegar out of the tank again.
