This easy (and we mean easy!) recipe for homemade French toast is sure to be a hit! Homemade oven-baked Dutch bread that's ready in just a few hours - no rising overnight. Airy bread on the inside ! vegetarian.

* Makes two loaves.

° 2 cups warm water
° 1/4 cup sugar
° 1.5 tablespoons yeast
° 1.5 tsp salt
° 1/4 cup vegetable oil
° 5.5 cups flour (I just used all-purpose)

Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast and let proof. Mix the oil into the yeast mixture once it is proven.

Mix flour and salt in a separate bowl.

Add dry mixture to wet mixture one cup at a time and stir/mix until smooth dough forms.

Knead for 3-5 minutes.

Place in an oiled bowl, and flip to cover both sides. Let it rise one hour.

Punch, and shape into loaves. Place them in greased baking trays. Leave it on for 30-40 minutes.

Baking at 350 for 30 minutes. Grease the surfaces with butter while they are warm.
