Slow Cooker Chili Recipe

This slow-cooking chili recipe has been in my family for years! It's an easy-to-make hot pepper cooked in a crockpot and full of flavour. Decorate it with your favorite additions to have all the fun!

For a long time, I've been struggling to find the chili recipe that Blake and I wanted to call "we."

He likes this recipe to be heavy on ground beef (I use a mix of ground beef and turkey), not too heavy on beans, and packed with layers of rich chili flavor.

It might seem such as this was a big moment in our relation-ship. If chili can really do that about a couple, I'm not quite sure.

All I know is that this homemade chili recipe has been of interest to our family. This is a sure sign that the recipe is worth keeping!

* Ingredients :

 ° 3 lbs. Low fat minced beef
 ° 2 lbs. Turkey Earth
 ° 5 large garlic cloves, minced
 ° 1 large yellow onion chopped
 ° 2 cans  tomatoes with juices
 ° 2 cans  tomato sauce
 ° 3/4 cup ketchup
 ° 2 cup Low sodium beef stock
 ° 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained & rinsed
 ° 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained & rinsed
 ° 1/3 c. yellow corn
 ° 3 to 6 tons of medium sized chili powder as desired (depends on chili powder heat and heat preference)
 ° 2 tsp. Dried Mexican Oregano
 ° 1 T. ground cumin
 ° 3 T. sugar Brown
 ° Kosher salt & fresh mold black pepper to taste

* Instructions :

Brown beef and turkey in a slow cooker with a browning function. Fat drain. If you don't have a browning function on your slow cooker, do the following: In a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat, brown the meat. Utilize a perforate spoon, transfering beef to a late cooker. Pour any remaining fat into the skillet. Add the ground turkey to the skillet, roast, and transfer to the slow cooker with a perforated spoon.

While the meat turns brown, we prepare the rest of the ingredients and divide them. Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker and stir until combined. Covering & cooking on high heat about 6 h .
Pour hot pepper into plates and garnish with sour cream, chopped onions, grated cheddar cheese and chopped cilantro. I also like to serve this chili with fresh lemon slices, fritos chips, and a great cornbread muffin.

Enjoy !
