1 onion, slice
8 iz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips, excess fat removed
salt pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ c dry red wine + stain to remove shine
2 1/2 c fat-free beef broth
2 tbsp cornstarch + ½ c cold water
*How to Make :
Placing onions also mushrooms in bottom of 4.5 quart saucepan.
Next, heat oil in skillet on medium-high heat. Seasoning steaks generously with salt also pepper and adding to the hot pan, basting meat on all sides, about 3 min.
Place the meat in the slow cooker over the vegetables.
Pour a few tablespoons of red wine into the hot skillet and scrape the bottom to remove browned bits of meat. Add them to the slow cooker.
Season the beef again with pepper and add the Worcestershire sauce, red wine and gravy. Cover and simmer 6 to 8 hours.
Uncover and slowly stir into cornstarch and water mixture. Cover and cook over high heat for another 45 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Serve beef chops over brown rice (as shown), buttered egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
